Training and Assessment Delivery Methods

Performance Training offers a range of delivery options depending on the needs of the learner.

Facilitated Recognition of Prior Learning:

Performance Training's RPL process streamlines accreditation for experienced mine management personnel, providing support and resources to attain the necessary qualification. Upon completion and review of the evidence portfolio, an accredited qualification is generated for the candidate. This pathway is also beneficial for groups and their employers.

Facilitated Recognition of Prior Learning ( RPL )

Performance Training has developed a facilitated RPL accreditation pathway that recognises the current skills and knowledge of experienced mine management personnel to help them attain the RII qualification required for their management position. Performance Training’s Recognition of Prior Learning pathway provides candidates with the support and resources needed to make attaining their qualification simple, expedient, and compliant – NO TICK and FLICKS.

The facilitated Performance Training RPL pathway is not just for Individuals; group accreditation has demonstrated to be highly advantageous for both Candidates seeking accreditation and employers seeking to qualify its senior management team and benchmark skills and knowledge.

Performance Training’s RPL process has been developed and refined right here in Queensland with input from some of the world’s most progressive mining companies. Here is what is involved.

Step
1
Applicants complete a short screening questionnaire, to help Performance Training Assessors determine whether they have enough real-world experience to enter the RPL accreditation pathway.
Step
2
On gaining entry to the accreditation pathway, Applicants are enrolled in the nationally accredited qualification and are referred to as the Candidate.
Step
3
Candidates attend a series of short workshops facilitated by a Performance Training representative. During the workshops, the facilitator explains how the unit is applied in the context of their workplace and identifies what is to be included in the Candidate's evidence portfolio to demonstrate competence.
Step
4
The Candidate returns to the workplace to continue their normal duties and compile the documentation required by the unit. Evidence in the candidate’s portfolio will reflect their normal work duties, therefore collection is not a burden on their normal work activities.
Step
5
Candidate’s are supported by Performance Training representatives throughout the accreditation pathway. Where deemed appropriate, reasonable adjustments to the evidence portfolio requirements can be made depending on the candidate’s situation, and work context.
Step
6
The Candidate presents their evidence portfolio to the Performance Training representative for review and assessment. Pending gaps or additional support requirements, the evidence Portfolio is forwarded to the RTO for qualification issuance.
